  1. You beat me to it, I was just going to suggest the same thing.
  2. See what happens when you try and get creative?πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘ You couldn't pay me enough to remove the center stand from my bike, if it didn't have one, I would pay extra to get one. I use it a majority of the time, side stand not so much.
  3. I have always done the same, shorty on the brake and standard length on clutch for both my street and dirt bikes.
  4. Yes, they change fueling and some ignition parameters but they do this repeatedly on a dyno up to WOT. and the flash is built for everyone. Something makes me think APS or TPS, the A-mode settings are 'quick-turn' throttle and the throttle 'travel' is different than STD or B mode. Am I way off in my thinking?πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ
  5. Yes, I changed the switch on mine to the Spiegler hydraulic switch. I spliced and insulated mine the same way, very simple. And @BBB just to confirm, there is no polarity, the brake light works just completing the circuit.
  6. Thanks for the info, I didn't know there was an 'account' limit, I had always thought it was limited "per post".
  7. @Cruizin - Did the file size just change for posting photos? Yesterday I noticed the allowable file size was much smaller than normal and today when trying to attach a photo, I keep getting warning telling me the allowable size is 0.44mb. "Accepted file types gif, jpeg, jpe, jpg, png Β· Max total size 0.44MB" I had to lower the resolution of photos in my phone, and then still had to resize them in windows to the point that they are barely legible and just larger than a thumbnail. Thanks, Brian
  8. In the 3 years since I bought the bike, I have gone through the oem Dunlops, 2 sets of Pirelli Angel GT's, and 4 sets of Bridgestones. I really like the Bridgestones, I have used the S21 sport tire and the T31 sport touring tire and honestly, I cant tell the difference between them. Other than the T31 having more rain channels, the sport riding performance feels the same and I get the same mileage out of both. The new S22 are supposed to be an overall improvement to the S21, I'm looking forward to trying them out. Bridgestones Spring $60 rebate is valid for a few more days. 2020-Bridgestone-Mar-Apr-Rebate-Info
  9. @texscottyd - That is the most bizarre wear pattern I have ever seen. It sure looks like you got good use out of them but I am surprised they wore out so quick, I thought the Road 5 was supposed to be the Holy Grail? πŸ€·β€β™€οΈ The UPS guy was very nice to me yesterday, 😎 my current tires are at the end of their life very soon, these should get me through the year. Sorry the photo is so small, something just changed on the forum and now it is only letting me attach postage stamp size thumbnails. Max total size 0.58MB
  10. From what I have seen, Yamaha levers usually fit many different bikes. Fitment: Yamaha YZF R1 R1M R1S 2015-2018 Yamaha YZF R6 2017-2018 Yamaha XSR700 ABS 2016-2018 Yamaha XSR900 ABS 2016-2018 Yamaha XV950 Racer 2016-2018 Yamaha FZ-07/MT-07 2014-2018 Yamaha FZ-09/MT-09 2014-2018 Yamaha FZ-10/MT-10 2016-2018 Yamaha FJ-09/MT-09 Tracer 2015-2018
  11. Regardless of the brand - Ohlins, Nitron, Penske, K-Tech, Wilbers etc. YES. it makes one hell of a noticeable difference! Suspension - in my opinion - is the best and most significant 'upgrade' you can make to any motorcycle.
  12. I measured the total shield travel on my FJ09 and it is only 1.5" or about 4cm from highest to lowest. From Puig website - "The ERS system allows you to elevate the windscreen 6 cm more than the original lifting mechanism and allows it to lower its position 2 cm lower than the original as well". That would increase the total travel to 12cm - 3x the range of the stock mount.
  13. I have a few packs of sprocket nuts from Sprocket Center, they have 6x M10 locking nuts but they do not list the thread pitch.
  14. You gotta love California legislation πŸ™„ This product is legal in California only for racing vehicles which may never be used, registered or licensed for use upon a highway. 15. To be honest I don't remember the 'exact' mph I used (I was more focused on keeping the bike upright on the slippery terrain). I just hit the brakes hard until I got the ABS pulsing.
  16. @texscottyd - Are you still able to angle your levers down a bit or did you have to raise them to get full lock clearance?
  17. Lift the carrying handle and try to turn the key, the locking mechanism tab fits into the carrying handle, if it doesn't fit in there the tab might be just a little bit bent.
  18. Definitely give us your impressions on the bar mounts, hopefully they give you the more sporty reach you are looking for.
  19. It is the DID VX X-Ring, the gold is +$10 over the natural color. FWIW, their Superlite sprockets are awesome, they wear like iron. I have used Sprocket Center for many years, they offer many gearing choices, front and rear and alter the chain length according to your sprocket selection. For my +2 tooth rear sprocket they sent me a(+2) 112 link chain (112 for the FJ, the Tracer will be longer). 20. I have been riding dirtbikes since I was 7y/o, so about 45 years experience on slippery, loose terrain.
  21. I rode down the street to an area with a soft dirt and gravel shoulder. I simply got up to about 10mph and locked up the front and then back a few times. Just make sure you have your feet out like outriggers when locking up the front end, just in case.πŸ˜ŽπŸ‘
  22. Both the oem chain and the DID VX chain lasted a little over 18k for me. You gotta love the gold though... 😎
