  1. Well damn I stand corrected......still needs a big update though IMHO.
  2. For 2 up you will wanna upgrade the rear shock for sure, in particular with your size and liking to ride agressive......by the way, these are not good 2 up machines IMHO.
  3. My front lever is very firm with little take up and reacts quickly, odd that there are very obvious different results from others. My brakes are very good and responsive as is, can only imagine will be even better with some Galfer HH. Oh and for the record.....I ride plenty aggressive.
  4. Yes it's done as we know it, just hoping that a new variant might emerge.
  5. Hopefully Yamaha comes out with a new heavily updated and re-designed FJR1300, but of course the same needs to be done with the Super Tenere as well.
  6. Is that USB outlet with LED voltmeter water resistant at all?
  7. Seat.......what makes you feel the suspension needs upgrade, has it been at all adjusted for you yet?
  8. I have a few friends with BMW's "1200GS" and they've been every reliable as my Japanese bikes, and as for maintenance they do their own no problem. The boxer is either loved or hated it seems, but from 18 to current they are no slouches.
  9. Now this girl might just be the ticket, for sure what I would be writing a check for. R 1250 RS | BMW Motorrad Each tour is determined by two factors: the time and the distance...
  10. I said that same thing.......and here I am with another chain drive bike, just not many good options with a shaft unless you go Bavarian.
  11. Shield came in yesterday, very high quality, looks great and cannot wait to try it out.
  12. Yes many complaints with the junk OEM Dunflops......
  13. LOVE my 2020 and my favorite bike already which I've ever owned. The OEM seat other than the forward slope is one of the more comfortable I've felt, the windscreen is also better than other bikes I've owned but have an MRA touring screen on the way. I find the on/off fueling to be just fine, the suspension overall to be quite good, the brakes to be very good, and the engine to be OH MY GOD amazing. Factory cruise and heated grips work perfectly, only wish the TFT display was a bit bigger.
  14. I don't feel much to be happy about these days as of late, but agree that a ride always helps calm the soul and mind for a bit.
  15. I just ordered the touring shield, looking forward to trying it out in comparison to the OEM abomination.....next break in the weather.
  16. The EK master screw links are awesome, but have to say I am surprised that a 100 plus hp bike isn't running a 530 chain, has anyone upgraded to do that? Makes me wonder with some of the low mileage life some are getting out of their chains, if much of that is due to it being a 525 and not a 530?
  17. The wheelie riders are not that dangerous, what I put in bold is all the poker run HD riders and weekend pirates.
  18. Can't speak to the Motech system, but sure love my Givi tank lock bag system.
  19. Yup to each their own concerning Stich or honestly any of the great gear out there, but I have 3 buds who wear nothing but overpriced and overrated KLIM and have also had their fair share of issues, at least Stich repairs and does alterations for their gear.
  20. Thanks for heads up, gonna check mine and report back........sorry to those of you who've had a catastrophic failure.
  21. Oh forgot to mention......my rear brake was super responsive from the day I rode off the dealer lot, most responsive and effective rear brake I've ever felt on any motorcycle I've ridden "weird huh"?
  22. No different than the Stroms, as most have tight valves at Suzuki's recommended mileage check as well. As for me waiting 25k miles to do the first check, I'll likely do it earlier......ya know just out of curiosity. 🤓
  23. What negative reviews of Dariens changed your mind, heck MOST reviews I've read were overwhelmingly positive as are the experiences of those I personally know "and yours truly" who wear them?
  24. What's the short comings with the brakes? ❓ The front brakes and master cylinder is made by a company who makes for many high end cars and several motorcycles, they are by no means inferior to Tokico or Nissin, and well.......Brembo are Brembo however. I personally find the front brakes to be damn good, and that is comparing to bikes I've ridden equipped with Brembo systems, but of course HH pads are going to overall work/perform better than organic.
  25. Firstgear has really good off the rack gear for certain.
