  1. That is one of the very best motorcycle oils money can buy......it aint the oil.
  2. Must be why my buddy with a 22 can't keep up with my 20.
  3. Got my OEM case/rack from Revzilla, took a few weeks is all.
  4. I ordered my 39L Yamaha top case and rack from "the Zilla", everything came in roughly 2 weeks as the website was claiming. Worth the wait, the kit is top notch.
  5. I am shocked the FJ9/Tracer doesn't come stock with a 530, agree that anything over 100 hp could benefit from a 530 over a 525. I am one of the lucky ones not having issue with the stock chain, I am about to hit 17K miles and the chain/sprockets still look/perform surprisingly good.
  6. I am in the camp and experience of.......if you are gonna own/ride a motorcycle, you sure as hell better know a thing or 2 about your motorcycle.
  7. Buddy had those mirrors on his Africa Twin, he absolutely loved them and said worth the coin.
  8. I personally have yet to find a waterproof glove, although what I do have is quite good and am bummed no longer made "imagine that". Heated gloves are too bulky for me, I like as much dexterity as possible when I ride.
  9. I run grip buddies over the grips for a larger diameter, I get full heat through them surprisingly well, and they are also closed cell and don't absorb water.
  10. I have used multiple vendors for heated grips on multiple bikes, and I have found that the OEM Yamaha grips which came on my 20 GT, heat quicker and more evenly than others mentioned "nice grip system as well". I like that mine can be controlled from the menu screen, and can even adjust the intensity at each level.
  11. That was a good review, must say I am starting to overall dig that bike. Were I to add another bike to the garage along side my Tracer, going back to an ADV machine, I'd be hard pressed to pass that up.
  12. Those clean and dry Cali roads I'd have to imagine.....yeah that looks like new.
  13. I have NEVER replaced the crush washer on a single drain bolt of any motorcycle I have owned, nor have I safety wired anything..........so far so good, but do what makes you sleep better at night.
  14. Indeed, my buddy's KTM 790 has amazing stock suspension. Another buddy of mine got a new Africa twin with ESA, and he had to replace all springs for his 220 pound body, now he has a 23 BMW R1250GS adventure with ESA and he say's it is PERFECT right off the assembly line.
  15. I've seen that here in Ohio, now I know what it is......thanks!
  16. Not the Euro bikes like Ducati/Triumph/BMW......their ESA suspensions have heavier springs, but yeah the Japanese spring rates for most they make are too light for bigger American bodies.
  17. Interval is like 26600 I believe, and that is insane mileage for a valve check......so I call BS on Yamaha's interval and what those motorcycle mechanics say. I don't baby this engine either, which I'd imagine would shorten up that interval mileage as well? I am almost at 17K miles, am thinking of 20K miles for the first check.
  18. I have now had 3 mechanics tell me to check valves when Yamaha suggests, 2 of which are familiar with these engines and claim the valve clearances don't move much. 🤔
  19. The cyber world is a dangerous place, and we all are complacent and take it for granted at times.
  20. He may just want the pay off? But yeah I must admit, I am overall very untrusting of people these days.
