  1. My 2015 has 110k+ miles on the clock and still runs as good as new. I change the plugs around 24k miles. Honestly, I think they could go quite a bit longer than that.
  2. Just keep an eye on it. The water in the system will evaporate some when it’s in the reservoir. I get whiffs of coolant some times but never had a problem.
  3. I run my plugs longer than 8k. Usually quadruple that and they still look good.
  4. This one doesn’t count either. Taken In July on my yearly odyssey.

  6. That seems like a good way to get a lot of debris and possibly water in the airbox and straight to the filter quick fast and in a hurry. No thanks.
  7. I've ridden the FJ across Kansas, Texas, and many other windy places. Going to a bigger screen didn't make a difference. By the way speaking of the wind in Kansas, its bad enough that they should change their state motto to "Kansas, It blows"
  8. I've ridden an Africa twin. The engine was a let down.
  9. It's the gear indicator switch down next to the front sprocket. It's a common thing. My 4th has flickered for years. I took it out and cleaned the contacts the last time i changed the chain and sprockets. It helped for a while. I just ignore it.
  10. Ha. That’s probably what’s going on with mine. It’s off just a hair. Oh well, she’s went down the road just fine for more than 100k. I’m sure she’ll do fine for at least 100k more.
  11. Where is the heat coming from? I have 110k miles on my bike. Ridden it across Death Valley twice and every other desert in the USA in July and August. Heat coming from the bike has never been a problem.
  12. I ride year round. I like Dunlop’s. No complaints with the rs3 or 4’s.
  13. I’ve done Death Valley twice. The short way and the long way. In August and July. It’ll be a while before I get the desire to go through again in the summer.
  14. We’ll agree to disagree. McDonalds and Hardee’s are both awful and in my humble opinion shouldn’t be mentioned in the same breath as Wattaburger.
  15. Thanks. I started solo in 2016. Three years ago convinced a friend to go. Last year there were 3 of us, this year 4. Next year we have maybe 7.
  16. We left SE Tennessee at 0400 and finally had breakfast around 0900 in Mississippi. The first stop for the night was Cleveland Tx. We always look forward to a Whattaburger. It’s the superior burger when compared to the In-N-Out burger. I have a thing for courthouses. Hallettesville TX. I like to stop and eat in local places. Maggie’s didn’t disappoint. When you see a sign telling you it’s the last gas for a while, take it seriously. We stayed the second night in Alpine TX. It’s hard to keep these youngins off their phones Big Bend was nice. The road along the Rio Grande was fun. I may have snuck across this section of the Rio Grande and for a short time been an illegal alien in Mexico… ooops…. The only thing fun about El Paso. I can’t really say anything else good about the town. This is a big hole in the ground in Arizona. Tombstone had a nice one. Life gets tough on the road. Flash floods are real and no joke. The best part of California is away from the Big cities. Stay away from the big cities. These trees didn’t seem real. That’s right, $6.09 a gallon. This place was a bit on the warm side. We stayed the night in Vegas. Second time I’ve been here and still not impressed. The beggars and drug addicted ruin it. Utah does not disappoint. Otie takin a break SW Colorado doesn't disappoint. Puttin out the Million $ vibe.. The Butch Cassidy café was a treat Is that Sasquatch? Is he's goin in the woods... Lumpy Puttin out the Million $ vibe The "Love dog" may be the perfect road trip food. Cheap, fast and tasty. The rule is if you get caught it gets put on the web. A better part of California. After Riding the awesome CO149 we headed home. Two days of hustle and not much fun. We had a blast and can’t wait for Odyssey 2022, the mother road and beyond.
  17. Never experienced any heat issues on my 2015. Sounds like you need to take a trip to the mechanic. In fact I rode through Death Valley last week and the engine temp got up to 208 riding along and still no burned lower extremities. Like Salish900 said, in the winter I wish the thing put off more heat.
  18. We've done a few multiday over 1K mile trips on my 2015 FJ. No problems. Well 1 problem... my wife tends to fall asleep when were on long straight roads.
  19. I don’t commute much. Most days that I get to ride are between 4 and 700 miles. I do at least 2 cross country trips (4k+Each) a year. I’m
  20. That’s strange. I’ve went through 4 sets of RS’3’s. Never got less than 12k miles out of them.
