  1. Yes, its actually developed by Rekluse. (I have one on my dirtbike and it is AWESOME in enduro-type terrain, tight and technical single-track with roots, rocks and log crossings.) The MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS Is More Than An Automatic Clutch Cycle World reviews the 2018 MV Agusta Turismo Veloce Lusso SCS in this...
  2. I questioned that myself, I'm not sure what that is. One feature that caught my attention on other MV models was the smart clutch. "Dragster 800 RR SCS and Brutale 800 RR SCS both feature the revolutionary SCS 2.0 (Smart Clutch System) for clutch-free starts and stopping. A technical innovation that allows to stop and restart without touching the clutch lever, making the most out of the in-line three-cylinder engine mated to a counter-rotating crankshaft. "
  3. I agree that $22,000 is quite expensive but building from the GT's features, the Lusso also offers a counter balanced motor, electronic semi-active suspension, hydraulic clutch, up and down quick shifter, integrated navigation, advanced IMU with lean angle ABS and 8 level TC, Brembo brakes, 5.7 gallon tank, single sided swingarm, alloy rims, much larger side bag capacity, 3 year warranty, and only 438 pounds! A (relatively) similar spec'd Versys 1000 SE LT+ is $18,000 and weighs an additional 150 pounds. 566.7 lb (+ Saddlebags, Hand Guards, & Hardware approx. 20 lb.) For an exotic European model the price doesn't seem too far out of line.
  4. Yikes. The bike must look terrible. โ˜น๏ธ
  5. Without any specific details its kind of hard to say what is normal. What is the current ambient temp? Is it reading 200F while moving or sitting in traffic? If it is 50F, I would expect 150-170F while moving, though while sitting in traffic it can climb steadily. However if it is 50F ambient and it is reading 200F while you are cruising on the highway , I would not call that normal. I have had mine hold a steady 200+ while cruising 70mph but ambient was 110+.
  6. So you ride it with no body panels?
  7. That should look awesome when finished, good luck with the process. I really like creative projects when owners personalize their bikes and make them unique. ๐Ÿ‘
  8. @Wintersdark - The finished case lid looks great, very nice job! ๐Ÿ‘ Are you wrapping the entire bike?
  9. In comparison, the MT10 makes 138hp/77tq stock. ๐Ÿ˜ฒ That will be one mean FZ07 ๐Ÿ‘
  10. Details One of the best on the market. Easy to use - on/off in 6 seconds. 22 mm (Small, 7/8" Dia. Handlebar size) for urban and sport bikes. 25 mm (Large, 1" Dia. Handlebar size) for Harley Davidson or cruisers.
  11. @norcal616 - Did you get the kit from Extreme Creations? Looking at the dyno graph in this video @ 5:30, those numbers have to be an extreme tune as they surpass the MT10! ๐Ÿ˜ฒ Did this require any durability mods? bottom end or clutch? I notice that they offer a swingarm extension. ๐Ÿ˜Ž
  12. Wow, very cool. I want to know more for sure, once the roads clear up and you can get ample traction. ๐Ÿ‘
  13. I have never used a Scottoiler but my initial thought was the same as your experience, putting oil on a moving chain at 70mph, it must be horribly messy. I cant think of a scenario that an sealed o-ring chain has to be constantly bathed in oil vs. lubing it at the end of each day.
  14. @dazzler24 - Yes, there are alternatives but like anything else its all subjective in how they work for you. - for the screen, EVERYONE will have a different opinion on what works for THEM. For wind noise and buffeting, I am of the belief than smaller is better. Have you ever ridden a naked bike? or stood up above the screen while riding? - clean, smooth air, although you have no protection from the elements. In a warm climate a small fly screen would be my personal choice. - For riding pants, I use vented textile pants. VERY high airflow and comfortable even over 100F. - I use earplugs every time I ride and don't like the type that insert into the ear canal, they ache after a few hours. I use the Mack's silicone earplugs. ยป Pillow Softยฎ Silicone Putty Ear Plugs
  15. I think he is referring to the grab point or the part of the lever travel where the clutch actually engages/dis-engages. - Moving the friction zone.
  16. What issues are you having? clutch pull? or lever comfort?
  17. There are 16 listing UNDER $7k right now! With that kind of savings I could live with the Grey/White as well. You could also factor in some AWESOME suspension! ๐Ÿ˜Ž๐Ÿ‘ Tracer 900 For Sale - Yamaha motorcycles - Cycle Trader Yamaha Tracer 900 motorcycles For Sale: 268 motorcycles Near You - Find...
  18. They have 6 positions of adjustment, they should work for most hand sizes, I use the Pazzo levers, (standard clutch and shorty brake). I love being able to adjust on-the-fly and set them up to suit your riding style. I may be weird but I set my clutch to position 1 for least lever movement and the brake on position 4 so it actuates further from the bar.
  19. True... but then Yamaha STILL use's the '70's era pumpkin indicator lights. โ˜น๏ธ Maybe someday...
  20. @Btracer900 - It makes you wonder how some dealerships ever stay in business, they must just bet on impulse buyers who haven't done their homework. As a comparison, my local dealer has a new 2019 base-level Tracer for that same $8,700 asking price.
  21. Um... for me it was the 2nd time. My previous bike was a Gen II FZ1 which also had a few pieces of body work that had to be removed to access the tank, so I may be used to it. Honestly, after first removing everything for the ECU flash and then putting it back together was 2 full opportunities to see how everything fit and its only 3 pieces per side.
  22. @keithu - I promise you that it gets easier each time. After the first time tearing it apart, I was actually really impressed with the ingenuity that went into "the puzzle" of how they got everything to fit in layers.
  23. ^^^Very true^^^ @baobei - one thing you can try just for a point of reference- Find a country road or open highway, not necessarily interstate, just somewhere you can cruise at a constant speed. Reset your FUEL AVG and just cruise at a constant speed, maybe 50-60mph for 10-15 miles, then reset the FUEL AVG and turn around and ride at the same speed again, just to see the results. What is the fuel reading and is the fuel reading the same both times? I would think in top gear cruising at 60mph on flat ground your mileage reading "should" be mid 40's, possibly higher.
  24. Right after buying the bike, I sent the ECU in to 2WDW, they had a video showing how to get under the tank. Putting it back together the first time was slightly tricky figuring out the order that everything fit but have had it apart many times since and it is really easy.
