  1. While I have never experienced it and have ventured above 110mph many times, there is no shortage of discussion on the topic. Some attribute it to funky aerodynamics including the bizarre shaped handguards, suspension setup, steering geometry, tire inflation, luggage/weight on the rear of the bike etc. https://www.tracer900.net/search/?q=front end wobble
  2. I am hoping that since it is a rear brake switch specifically for motorcycles that it is the "proper switch".
  3. That is great info. thanks. So would you just wire them in reverse polarity?
  4. I couldn't agree more. I have used Pazzo levers on my last few bikes and LOVE them, I use long clutch and shorty 2-finger brake. I will never own another bike without adjustable levers.
  5. That is great customer service! Keep supporting that dealer. 👍
  6. While a good "canned flash" will be a 99% improvement and will satisfy most riders, there is no denying that a personalized dyno tune would be the absolute best option since it is specifically done ONLY on your machine.
  7. I checked mine again last night and it was already intermittent again. Well, curiosity got the better of me last night. (damn internet makes it far too easy to succumb to your temptations)😎 After a little research, I decided to go with the Spiegler switch. I have their braided brake lines and know their quality, plus it has a right angle exit from the MC with a heavy gauge rubber boot. Spiegler Brake Light Switch Out of all the hydraulic brake light switches on the market, there's only one...
  8. Has anyone completely replaced the problematic plunger switch with a hydraulic actuated switch? No exposed parts to get dirty or corroded. Looks interesting. Vortex Rear Brake Light Switch - Sportbike Track Gear Purchase the Vortex Rear Brake Light Switch from...
  9. I would have driven 2 hours for that price as well, good job! 👍
  10. My buddy has a Stoltec-spec Penske on his FJ and it is configured the exact same way. Mine was ordered through Traxxion Dynamics and the hose is longer and attaches to the canister differently. I have been thinking about getting a right angle banjo bolt type connector fitted the next time I have my suspension in for servicing.
  11. That's less than 200 lbs, definitely not American, that's almost considered anorexic 🤣
  12. You cant put a price on comfort. How much of a difference is it for the good foam? Just do it already!
  13. While it doesn't have the ground clearance of an adventure bike it has more ground clearance than most super sports or large touring bikes. 5.3" is very average, within a few mm of what most non-adventure bikes offer. In my experience, I have found the exact opposite concerning lean angle and clearance. I ride the bike fairly aggressively, mostly mountain and canyon twisties and have never hit the pegs or center stand. Do you still have the stock shock? or have it set very soft?
  14. @Wintersdark - Glad to hear that the tires are working OK for you but that's the only positive comment I have. It looks like an absolutely miserable experience.
  15. Yeah, that's a definite way to piss off a mechanic, have you seen the mess that stuff makes when swapping out tires? 😲
  16. The Ebay description might not list the '19 Tracer but a lot of Yamaha levers are cross-compatible. I was checking out the Pazzo fitment guide and the same lever fits the FZ09/MT09, FJ09/Tracer, XSR700/900, FZ-07/MT-07, FZ10/MT10, FZ1 Fazer, FZ8, FZ6, Niken and certain year R6 and R1.
  17. MZS Brake Clutch Lever Yamaha FZ-10/MT-10 2016-2019 FJ-09/MT-09 Tracer 2015-2019 Yamaha FJ-09/MT-09 Tracer 2015-2019. Levers 2 (Brake & Clutch levers)...
  18. @showmerider - To be fair, not all bikes have identical clutch actuation, I have ridden some that grab as soon as you begin releasing the lever and some that grab halfway through the travel. Same thing with vehicles, I have been driving manual transmissions for almost 40 years and some clutches are hyper sensitive and others are extremely forgiving. I have always used adjustable levers and agree with your mechanic, that might be the key to getting it to feel the way you like, or at least close. If you have it so it feels close but the cable is loose that tells me that it feels correct to you when the lever is closer to the bar, with adjustable levers you can set the correct cable tension and then adjust the lever closer to the bar as well. They usually have 5 or 6 positions and even though I have larger hands I have my clutch lever set at the 1st or 2nd position closest to the bar.
  19. Have you tried adjusting (taking up slack) on the lower cable adjuster? You could also try moving the actuating arm one tooth so the clutch actuation is sooner in the lever travel.
  20. What does this statement mean? Doesn't it come with Battlax S20's? I have used many sets of S21's and haven't found conditions where they DON'T excel, except long term mileage. I have used them below freezing, torrential downpours, sport riding and multi-thousand mile road trips.
  21. Great price on the bike! Even after tax and warranty you are still $2,000 below MSRP. 👍
  22. I have found that it can get dirty and then stuck on or get hard to actuate. The plunger should move freely in and out of the switch.
  23. @SC3896 - Sometimes the solution to a problem is just looking at it a second time. Glad you got it corrected.
  24. @dazzler24 - It doesnt look bad at all, like you mentioned though, I would be curious as to how sensitive the Plasti-Dip is to gas splashes. I am for anything that makes the bike unique and "your-own". I didn't paint the tank or panels but I added a few silver accents for contrast to break up the black, including the fake air intakes, mesh from a kitchen strainer painted bright silver.
