Premium Member micah2074 Posted December 30, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted December 30, 2018 That’s where the blinker fluid overflow bottle goes. Yours must have got knocked off. Don’t attempt to ride your bike again without getting that fixed. Let’s go Brandon

Premium Member sirepair Posted December 30, 2018 Premium Member Share Posted December 30, 2018 Blinker fluid/muffler bearings holders are most like correct! But these could be used to locate the block for machining purposes, or for mounting in a different frame. For once it wasn't me going technical why everyone else is joking around haha. But I agree probably used for manufacturing or mounting. '15 FJ09

gv550
There is a special titanium bar that slides through the holes and attaches to a tow bar................... to tow your buddy's BMW back to the dealer. jerryd
On my '19 GT, the one on the right hand side is where the coolant overflow bottle is mounted, the left is open.  Some highway pegs could go there if both were unused.

Premium Member builderbob Posted January 8, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted January 8, 2019 As there are 2 holes, one on either side of the engine, I'm wondering if they were provided as frame attachment points for a yet unannounced ADV bike. Hmmm...
wordsmith
I've often wondered what these two holes are at the front of the bike.  Both are threaded, about 5mm in diameter, at the top of each fork leg.  They could be useful, though I've yet to find a need for them, and anyway their usefulness is severely limited by the obvious fact that they turn with the fork and anything bolted to them would quickly foul the bodywork or display dash. But I'm still puzzled!   Riding a fully-farkled 2019 MT-09 Tracer 900 GT from my bayside home in South East Queensland, Australia.
