  1. I thought about that but wanted it to be 100% perfectly aligned. I ended giving them away on here where a machinist cut an alignment mark.
  2. @dpippin - These are much better than the stock axle blocks, the stock left block was prone to deforming where the flat axle end mates.
  3. Yep, I re-installed those and love them.👍
  4. I really like the idea of a bronze to match the engine bits. Unfortunately we don't have the bronze wheels here in the US but I have considered getting mine painted.
  5. Its definitely a high quality net and I love how versatile it is, and only $10.
  6. I bought a Power Tye 15"x15" cargo net and strap ring attachments. The hooks can be removed and located anywhere you see fit and they have a hook on the back for pulling slack on the net and attaching the excess. This will be perfect for storing my rain gear while on a road trip or lunch while on a day trip. 7. The GT is a great bike, very well equipped. First thing, buy a radiator guard, you don't want rocks to fling up and ruin your day. Other than that, if you have questions on upgrades and accessories, feel free to ask. BTW, the most sought after changes are windscreen and seat.
  8. Just a precaution, I bought a set of those for $25-$30, the center black part that slides to make the adjustment didn't have an index mark. There was absolutely nothing to align to the measurement lines and numbers, they were useless.
  9. I have one for my GT-Air but I haven't installed it. How is the clarity? I'm concerned that adding another layer to the screen will affect optical quality.
  10. I looked up Lightech chain adjusters for you and this was listed for fitment. This Product Fits: Yamaha FJ-09 2015, 2016, 2017 FZ-09 2014, 2015, 2016 Tracer 900 2019 Tracer 900 GT 2019, 2020 XSR900 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020 The 2017 and up MT09 isn't listed because they use that funky rear mud guard
  11. I can't say I would personally be heartbroken if that were to happen, nothing that Suzuki has offered has ever caught my attention or even slightly made me interested. They are the only one of big 5 that I have never owned.
  12. Why wouldn't you trust Twisted Throttle? When it comes to Denali motorcycle lighting, they would be my first choice to ask for advise.
  13. No need to disconnect the fuel line. just lift the tank and swivel it 180 degree backward and set it on a towel. I never remove the fuel line when accessing the ECU or air filter.
  14. @2and3cylinders - Thanks for sharing that info. I have been contemplating a QS myself and like you, I also want the Blip. Looking as some of the install videos or instruction sheets, they seem to want to tap into wiring of the ECU or coil plugs, - just like the MCCruise, so I can see that there could be some conflict. I don't know of any other solution but I'm definitely NOT going to give up the CC.
  15. In a perfect world it would vaporize slow drivers and RV's.👍
  16. My line of thinking says the same thing, put the force as low as possible on the frame mount.
  17. It takes a little bit more time and effort but when you remove the tank, accessing the top shock mount bolt is so easy its almost like cheating.
  18. It would be a shame to spill your IPA.😎
  19. Congratulations on the new bike. If you don't like the color you can always buy last years plastics, some on here have even sprayed theirs with plasti-dip to change the color.
  20. I always wave to other bikers, I don't always get a return wave though.
  21. I installed a dual USB charger with LED voltmeter. I spliced into the switched auxiliary 12v power leads behind the screen so it is always on with the ignition. I got fed up with the POS 12v cigarette lighter outlet, I have already replaced it once and the 2nd one is now working intermittently, it has never been used in the rain and always has the rubber cap on yet still corrodes on the inside.
  22. I didn't have to remove the airbox, I cut the hard lines in half and removed each half out the front and rear, they pulled right out. The new lines slid in fairly easy on the left side of the engine behind the frame rail, very similar to the routing of the clutch cable. For me, the most difficult part was getting access to remove the mount blocks, once I got it in my mind that none of the old parts were reusable and could be cut up and thrown away, it was just a systematic process like building a model car. Glad you got yours finished, now that it is done, you wont have to do it again.👍
