  1. Woohoo, dibs on partial royalties!! My lawyer's reviewing the contracts now. I get paid for the value of the added empty space, plus material cost! And I reduced its weight too. Ka-ching... $$$
  2. it's when using it that it could fall. Who would ride with it sitting on the fork?
  3. ok, 1 suggestion if possible to do: have some way to attach a keyfob/lanyard/"remove for flight" tag to it. Looking at picture of it sitting on top of fork it's just asking to fall into the netherworlds of fairing/frame/engine void. Unless you make another mold as tool to easily remove the fairings and sell that one separately! 😄
  4. I like it as something to carry for on-the-road adjustments. No sharp edges like a flathead screwdriver has. Could put in a jacket pocket. Good work!
  5. Be careful Kemosabe. Typically requires several years of stock setup before the beak is applied. Plus half the forum will whine. Just kidding, congrats. Sounds like a nice setup!
  6. My dealer did it too when purchased new in Sep 2018 as courtesy for battery tender connection.
  7. Went to Washington Cycleworks in NJ to get sag set and suspension adjusted. Was too flat a profile before and now turns better and holds line after my service. Talked suspension upgrades too if I go that route... A great place to visit if you're in the Northeast. Washington Cycle Works 5 NJ-31, Washington, NJ 07882 https://maps.app.goo.gl/yc6DQxZUEUFWxKvr8
  8. my $.02: since it's a subjective measure, and no one can answer it to your satisfaction but you, you should find any of the bikes with Yamaha Triples and try one. If you're on a new bike (2019) and unhappy in less than a year not a good sign. The weight didn't increase on that bike after you got it. I put 46k miles on an FJR in the past. The triple is not as smooth as a inline 4 (go figure) but no problem for me. It's lighter, more narrow, and MUCH cooler than any 4 cylinder. YMMV.
  9. Did a 410 mile 1-day round trip that put me over the hump. Taken somewhere in Catskills NY.
  10. Sometimes the price of being seen is too high. This is one of those times...
  11. That's a nice looking bike Cruizin. Congrats and have fun!
  12. I hear you but total cost front and rear is more like $2000. I'm not gonna sink that into my bike at this time.
  13. With bags, that bike is what $10,000 more than the Tracer GT? It should be better for that money!
  14. 2019 Tracer GT w 8800 miles. Thinking of adding something nice because why the hell not, we're all going to die someday. Are people happy w the AKRO full exhaust: steel pipes, titanium exhaust w carbon end cap? If Yosh still offered the branded full system would prob get that for several hundred less but dont see it anymore. Reflash for full system is no charge for me... Thoughts?
  15. -07 FJR -08 R1 in track getup -14 R1 in tour mode Guess I'm a Yamaha guy..
  16. 2020 colors look great in your pics. Congrats on new ride!
  17. No advice to OP but if this is a poll I've had zero charging issues using the left side cigarette lighter port to charge my Garmin over 9,300 miles. I have a wire off the battery but use it for heated gear or a battery tender in colder months.
  18. Great info as benchmark, thanks
  19. 60°Fs this weekend in the area. Get her out there!
  20. Hell i thought it was Bucks County Pennsylvania not too far from me. Had to google "15 plate" and now I dont think we're even on same side of Atlantic... 😄 Enjoy your ride!
  21. I got the Yamaha Comfort seat on my GT about a year ago and now have 8600 miles on the bike. I'm very pleased with it. Have no issues of discomfort. Very reasonable price too for a front and back set. I've never tried the "high end" options (ie expensive) so not comparing it to any of them. Best way to put it is that the seat will not limit the miles I can out on the bike. I'm 6'2 and 220lbs if that matters. It's got gel in it so in direct sun on HOT day best to put cloth over it when parked.
  22. The bike looks really good. And clean! Nice mods, like the lightbar and engine guard the best. Congrats on purchase.
