What did you do to your FJ-tracer-gt today?

Test run around the neighborhood was so nice, i initially thought I maybe did something wrong.  Clutch pull is butter as well as the shifting, like to this point you can't really notice you hit the next gear - in either direction.  I was strangely amazed at what $230 and an hour of your time could do to your FJ.  I have the Andreanis as well and have already dropped the congressperson side to 2.5.  I'll probably get the upgrade from Matt over the winter as he seems to make the Andreani's sing.

The Assist/Slipper clutch really is a nice upgrade isn't it?  The transmission seems so much smoother.

I have heard that Matt can really transform the Andreani's, I got his advanced fork upgrade and it is VERY nice.
What do you have planned for the shock?

Did the same job today...
Not much to it really, opening the 30mm nut is the most difficult part...

Next job is to put 2.5 weight oil in the compression leg of the Andreanis...
I just finished now myself - kinda chili her in NY.  Install went really smooth.

I'm across the water so Matt isn't an option for me...
Hoping the lighter oil helps...

Do you have a parts list or the like to do this?

So jealous of you guys. I parked the bike in the garage 2 days ago and walked away to a big bang. Bars now have an odd angle to them from the triple up, LOL.

Loosen up everything except the top pinch bolts and bounce the front end and see if you cant get her straightened back out.

Won't help if the bars are actually bent. How did she fall over, stand not all the way down?

Indeed the clutch is fantastic. Sad thing for me is, much like GOT, “Winter is Coming”. Hopefully get one more day to at least go ride and dodge the deer running all over the place. Lol.
I beliebe Matt has a mod kit for the Andreanis which include some re-vavling and added piston. I’ll pull the shocks when the snow flies for good and remove the Andreanis. Not sure if I’ll send him the cartridges and have him install, or try it myself. I’m pretty good about trying justice about anything, but when it comes to some thing like shocks - they are a science. Would rather have an expert do the work. Otherwise I’ll be wondering on every bump if I did something wrong. That upgrade, coupled with the Ohlins 535 should ware this beast up yet another notch.

Got everything loose now.  Not sure what the tightening procedure is.  Just tightened the handle bar to risers and am now going to tighten the risers to the triple.  Hoping this is right. Bar looks good.  Everything looks straight as i hold it now, just need to make sure it stays that way when tightening everything.
*yeah, full garage and being careless.  I surprisingly didn't blow a gasket, hahaha.

I was refering to lower pinch bolts, axle bolt, and axle pinch bolt. To make sure the forks weren't tweaked slightly.

Makes sense to loosen the handlebar mounts and risers and line them up too.

Indeed it will.  Myself, I ordered a Penske through Traxxion Dynamics and couldn't believe the difference it made.
I felt like the stock shock was a weaker link than the forks but upgrading both ends completely transformed the bike, no question.

I had convinced myself at that point that it was just the CCT bring noisy... I'm more mad at myself for being in this position in the first place....
Did they indeed check the CCT or the chain? Could still be that CCT failed, chain got loose (the racket), skipped a couple of teeth and the timing is now off enough that engine won't start. Hypothetical of course, but did they check anything or just cranked it for an hour?
Don't beat yourself up over this... not your fault. Get it home and methodically dive in there. Come back with updates and questions. Best of luck!

I removed the shock and forks and dropped them off at the local suspension shop for their 2-year servicing.
There she sits for the next week.  :-[   I will have plenty of time to clean and re-grease the swingarm and shock linkage.

plenty of time for "air biking"... you can buy a neoprene rear dirt bike sleeve to keep it clean... they usually sell em by generic length sizes... I have one from DirtSkinz I won years ago in a raffle...
