  1. ALL 4 of them should be 'switched' 12v connectors. I am currently using 3 of them on mine and all I had to do was get the proper shaped plug to fit them and splice the device wiring, they were all 'live' from the factory.
  2. This is my first outing with the S22, I have used 3 sets of their previous S21's. Both the S21 and T31 were very worthwhile tires, longevity on the S21 was about 1,000 miles less than the T31, as can be expected. I had the S21's in rain many times and the T31 in hail storms and monsoon-level downpours with no issues.
  3. The previous Bridgestone T31's lasted 6500 miles. Got the S22's installed this morning. Time to scuff them up.
  4. Keep us updated when you finally get her out for a test ride.
  5. If the sensor was damaged, could it have possibly damaged the speed ring? Rotate the wheels (both front and rear) slowly and check every tooth of each ring and make sure that they aren't bent, missing or deformed.
  6. Yes, those were originally mine, they are the $30 adjusters from eBay. When I bought them they didn't have an index mark on them to line up with the measurement marks, making them useless to me for aligning the chain. I offered to give them away to @fddriver2, and @new1709rider offered to machine precise alignment marks to make them work. So they made the rounds from China to Washington to North Carolina to Florida. 😎👍
  7. I went out on another 370 mile ride to Tillamook Oregon. This is the Oregon section. Fantastic twisty roads. Google Maps

I have never heard of those but that is a great idea. Thanks for sharing.
  9. Does the vibration occur when revved up in neutral, like when on the center stand or a stop light? Just trying to narrow it down to the engine or final drive? How tight is the chain? The owner manual spec is too tight.
  10. Depending on how I ride, I averaged around 44mpg through 2 tanks of gas yesterday, some mountain and canyon shenanigans and highway cruising @75-80mph. On the highway 70mph is indicated @5000 rpm and 80mph is around 5600 rpm.
  11. Absolutely have a technician look at the issue, that isn't normal at all. A few months ago I had the scheduled valve service with throttle body sync and new spark plugs and the bike has never been smoother, it is an absolute joy to ride. One other thought, since the Tracer is new to you, what did you have before? The vibration sensation could be subjective if you previously owned an ultra-smooth Goldwing or K1600, just a thought.
  12. Since our Governor implemented phase one to lighten up restrictions on outdoor recreation, I went out for 370 miles of much needed "Two Wheel Therapy". Tiger Mountain, Snoqualmie Pass, Canyon Road (through Yakima Canyon) and White Pass.😎👍
  13. I don't know of many other bikes with the features or ergonomics of the Tracer GT and have the same light weight and agility. If there is a solution to help out a fellow rider make a bike fit, I hope someone chimes in with some useful information.
  14. I love it. I have done the same gearing on past bikes for about 25 years. Quicker acceleration and it seems to tighten up the transmission gear ratios. I can still pull a long time in each gear but with stock gearing it took longer to get to the 'sweet spot' (5k and above).
  15. Unfortunately not many bikes of this style are noticeably shorter, the Versys 650, Honda CB500X, CB650, Yamaha MT07/ 09 are all around 32" tall.
  16. Have you tried the knob 'softer' or 'softest'? if you lessen the adjuster it 'should' make it less harsh but will also make it slightly more 'springy'. The best way I can describe the 'one knob does it all' type setup is - think of your home stereo, what if one knob adjusted both bass and treble in unison, when you adjust the bass so its not too booming, now your treble sounds flat or if you set the bass so it shakes the walls then now the treble will shatter glass, if you adjust one then it affects the other. When you call them tell them exactly what you are experiencing and what you want to achieve.
  17. Which shock do you have, R1, R2 or R3? If it is the R1 then the adjuster changes the rebound and compression simultaneously with one knob, the upper tier shocks have individual adjustment. The custom built shock 'should' be a noticeable improvement in ride quality, however I don't find one adjustment that alters both rebound and compression damping to be ideal, *for my needs*. I usually get the compression set and then leave it but fine tune rebound a bit more. The ride height adjustment raises the rear, same as lowering the front, more front weight bias and sharper steering input. According to Nitron - Please include your weight (with any specific requirements you may have regarding whether you want a lower or higher default seat height - i.e. if you are taller or shorter than average) and state how your bike is used (i.e. road solo only, road with pillion, road and track or track only etc.) as we will be building your shock to your specific order with the optimum length, spring rate and damper adjustments pre-set for you. If you need further information or assistance, please call us to discuss your needs. Nitron will build your shock to order with the specification based on your individual needs and with all adjustments pre-set (see above) If it was custom built and they didn't get it set up correctly for you, I would give them a call.
  18. I got it mounted today with a mesh air bag, perfect for carrying emergency rain gear or lunch. Its stretchable enough to carry at least twice what I have on there now.
  19. 'Most' sport-touring tires will handle mixed riding, commuting, touring and canyon carving with ease, they will handle relatively smooth forest roads at moderate speeds but definitely not ideally. I was trying to find a shortcut between 2 highways in Idaho last year and took a wrong turn and ended up on about 25 miles of gravel roads, moderate speeds and a foot down in sharper corners was fine for the one time through but if I was riding that far on a relatively regular basis, I would want different tires but I'm not sure I would want/need dirt tires just for a 3-mile section.
  20. I can confirm what @skipperT posted. Bike running in the driveway, just pull the trigger switch for 2-3 seconds and you are in the menu's. 👍
  21. I had to position mine a little differently because I couldn't see the turn signals.
  22. Absolutely true, underwear or shorts can make a huge difference in comfort and it goes without saying that jeans can be the most uncomfortable with the thick seams. I usually ride in mid-thigh length boxer briefs or spandex/lycra cycling shorts with minimal seams.
  23. Motorcycle memories that will last a lifetime! Live for the adventure 😎👍
