  1. Both. I hit the deer broadside and folded it in half, the bike and I slid across the oncoming lane into the opposite ditch. ☚ī¸
  2. I also had a 2006 FZ1 - Liquid Silver. Top of the line suspension and a custom dyno tune, I loved that bike! Unfortunately I hit a deer and totaled it.
  3. You can easily bring it up to Tracer GT spec. except for the TFT screen. Mine has been upgraded with everything except a quick shifter. The one area that you probably wont need any mods is the engine, the linear torque curve on this thing is intoxicating.
  4. There are many that will get the job done, personal preference I suppose. A few attach with zip ties, personally I would avoid those. I bought the guard from Cosmo Radiator Guard HoneyComp
  5. @MemphisTracer - Welcome aboard. Good looking bike, I have the Red '15 as well. 👍 Pretty much all of the bikes quirks and or short comings have been identified and this forum is a wealth of information offering solutions or options to address any concerns you may encounter. If you have any questions, feel free to ask and if you are looking to upgrade any components, there are many here more than happy to help you spend your money. 😎 If you do nothing else to the bike, I would suggest at least getting a radiator guard.
  6. Look at the post right above yours. That links to a previous thread where everything is explained in detail. Its fairly simple if you are adept with basic hand tools.

  8. While I have never experienced it and have ventured above 110mph many times, there is no shortage of discussion on the topic. Some attribute it to funky aerodynamics including the bizarre shaped handguards, suspension setup, steering geometry, tire inflation, luggage/weight on the rear of the bike etc. https://www.tracer900.net/search/?q=front end wobble
  9. I am hoping that since it is a rear brake switch specifically for motorcycles that it is the "proper switch".
  10. That is great info. thanks. So would you just wire them in reverse polarity?
  11. I couldn't agree more. I have used Pazzo levers on my last few bikes and LOVE them, I use long clutch and shorty 2-finger brake. I will never own another bike without adjustable levers.
  12. That is great customer service! Keep supporting that dealer. 👍
  13. While a good "canned flash" will be a 99% improvement and will satisfy most riders, there is no denying that a personalized dyno tune would be the absolute best option since it is specifically done ONLY on your machine.
  14. I checked mine again last night and it was already intermittent again. Well, curiosity got the better of me last night. (damn internet makes it far too easy to succumb to your temptations)😎 After a little research, I decided to go with the Spiegler switch. I have their braided brake lines and know their quality, plus it has a right angle exit from the MC with a heavy gauge rubber boot. Spiegler Brake Light Switch Out of all the hydraulic brake light switches on the market, there's only one...
  15. Has anyone completely replaced the problematic plunger switch with a hydraulic actuated switch? No exposed parts to get dirty or corroded. Looks interesting. Vortex Rear Brake Light Switch - Sportbike Track Gear Purchase the Vortex Rear Brake Light Switch from...
  16. I would have driven 2 hours for that price as well, good job! 👍
  17. My buddy has a Stoltec-spec Penske on his FJ and it is configured the exact same way. Mine was ordered through Traxxion Dynamics and the hose is longer and attaches to the canister differently. I have been thinking about getting a right angle banjo bolt type connector fitted the next time I have my suspension in for servicing.
  18. That's less than 200 lbs, definitely not American, that's almost considered anorexic đŸ¤Ŗ
  19. You cant put a price on comfort. How much of a difference is it for the good foam? Just do it already!
  20. While it doesn't have the ground clearance of an adventure bike it has more ground clearance than most super sports or large touring bikes. 5.3" is very average, within a few mm of what most non-adventure bikes offer. In my experience, I have found the exact opposite concerning lean angle and clearance. I ride the bike fairly aggressively, mostly mountain and canyon twisties and have never hit the pegs or center stand. Do you still have the stock shock? or have it set very soft?
  21. @Wintersdark - Glad to hear that the tires are working OK for you but that's the only positive comment I have. It looks like an absolutely miserable experience.
  22. Yeah, that's a definite way to piss off a mechanic, have you seen the mess that stuff makes when swapping out tires? 😲
