  1. Too many things going on in the fairing of the bike and the back doesn't look much better. I will happy stick with my 2019 GT.
  2. @peteinpa that is the place. They have taken very good care of me over the years and I have nothing but good things to say about them. Sure am going to miss them in a week, when I move down to the land of the soon to be dead's.
  3. I wonder how well the Niken is selling. My local Yamaha dealer is trying to sell their 2019 demo bike with 124mi on it for $9,995. MSRP is $15,995 The bike has been sitting on the floor and I was told that they have not sold any. They are a big Yamaha and multi line dealer. They were constantly asking me to test ride it, I have no interest in the thing and never took them up on it. Besides who wants to put tires on their motorcycle that are sold as scooter tires 120/70-15.
  4. I Loved the sound of the FJ09 with the Akrapovic that I had as a loaner bike. The exhaust wasn't too loud for me. But then again my wife say's I'm half deaf, because I never hear anything she says.🙂
  5. I would buy it in a heart beat! I'm just afraid to find out what the insurance is going to cost. The tracer 900GT cost me a lot to insure, considering what it is.
  6. Welcome, to the forum and if you hang around in here much the cruise control won't be the only thing you do🙂
  7. Welcome the forum @Yamagun I live just down the Delaware River from you, at least for the next couple of weeks. We are lucky to have great roads to enjoy the Tracer on. I'm the same height as you and have been running the MRA Variotouringscreen and it still leaves a lot to be desired, but defiantly better than stock.
  8. I put on 2 set's of roads on my bikes this year and both set's were made in Spain.
  9. You don't get the engine hot enough and it just adds moisturee to the in side of the engine. Think about being told that it's better to run a car for 20mi trip than driving it around the block. long rides get the engine and gear box up to full operating temp and remove any moisture, same thing for an exhaust system. There is no problem if you ride your bike and get it up to full operating temp.
  10. Ride the bike and get it good and hot and change the oil and filter and put the bike on a tender. She will be fine also, resist the temptation of starting the bike up and idling it for a few minutes.
  11. I tightened my RG engine cover bolts to factory specs and had no problems.
  12. I use to tow 2 YZ250's on a three rail trailer behind a 73MGB. Getting going was not as bad as you would think, but panic stopping sure sucked and I as remember bumps in the weren't much better.
  13. I have used them on every bike I own that they will work on and they work. Buy a name brand not some Chinese junk, I have seen bikes that had them and they failed. Some times cheap can be expensive.
  14. Great write up @dazzler24does the system cancel the signals based on time or distance traveled?
  15. The chain on my 2019 GT has the O- ring problem, started with about 5000mi.
  16. Welcome to the forum @SleepyC the bike looks sharp and you got the best color! Looks like your daughter is learning early to color coordinate here boots🙂
  17. Looks like they may have fixed the helmet buffeting with the new wind screen. it's about time! Also looks like it got a radial master cylinder on the front brakes.
  18. Your a better man than me Clegg78. I would have thrown in the towel after the oil pan.
  19. I took the GT out for a 300 plus mile ride today on my favorite twisty roads in eastern Pennsylvania. It was the last chance I will have to ride it before it goes on the moving van to Florida. At least she will arrive in that God forsaken place with no chicken strips on the tires!
  20. I watched a guy riding a made in Milwaukee product fill his bike with it running and spill gas all over the place. You can't fix stupid no matter how many skulls you have on your bike.
  21. I have the Oxford Q4R quick release tank bag with the tank adaptor and my total cost was just over a hundred bucks on sale. It is the smallest bag they have and it fits the GT perfectly and has not leaked in hard rain. I can use it on all my bikes that have a tank rings and no scrub marks on the tank from rubbing. I will admit to leaving it on top of the gas pump more than once🤪.
  22. Welcome to the forum @Danielblue just be warned hanging around in here is a sure way to melt your credit card🙂 Enjoy your new Tracer and ride safe!
  23. @Clegg78Could you take your the SW- Motec guard to a metal fab shop and just have him copy it out of steel. Or is it to screwed up?
  24. This is all being done to please the wife, remember happy wife happy life or something like that. I was told the lot behind the house might be going up for sale and if so, I will buy it and build a proper garage and replace all the stuff I had to sell and give away. I keep telling my self Richard Pollack of Mule motorcycles, works out of a two car garage.🙂
  25. Congratulations on your new your new bike and getting back in the saddle. I wouldn't worry about keeping up with your pal, the Tracer is more than up to the task. Also welcome to the forum and remember the best money spent on your bike will be on the suspension. Enjoy!
