  1. Florida, the roads stink and it's to hot to be working out in the garage. 4+ months a year mine runs about 95 degrees most days in the summer. I just put a 6 panel sliding screen on the garage door so it can be open at night with out all the stinking bugs.
  2. Drop your tire pressure some and remember the stock tires kind of sucked.
  3. You need to get heat in the tires for them to grip. Slow speeds and cold road surfaces don't let the tires heat up, you can lower your tire pressure a little to help the tires heat up quicker and retain their heat.
  4. Great ride use to do it a couple of times a year when I lived up in north east PA. I miss all the great roads PA had.
  5. You'll die of boredom and your tires will end up flat in the center. Don't say I didn't warn you😥
  6. Man, I'm jealous of you Wintersdark, one for the bike you got👍 and the fact you can get accessories for it. I can't get anything for my Pan America till well into 2022. I'm planning to putting my KLR up 4 sale and will be looking for a used T7 once the market settles down and prices drop some.
  7. Thanks Clegg, your kit is the best money I have spent on the GT. My fellows thank you also👍
  8. I have the Yamaha accessory rear rack and a Givi adaptor plat and top box fitted to my 2019 GT with no problems. I will say the rear rack seems to block out the tail light, at least that is what I'm told by people behind me.
  9. For what it is worth I did the Lakeland FL on Sunday and they only had on 9GT and it was booked for all the rides 10 minutes after the show opened.
  10. I think he was talking about the master cylinder reservoir cover. I ordered the seat kit last night.
  11. I think you will be more than happy, the CP9 engine is great. Enjoy!
  12. Sorry to hear about this, it's not a club you want to be a member of. One thing I would not do is talk about this on social media, before you get legal counsel. Don't want to screw anything up. Heal up fast and use the spare time to pick out a new bike.
  13. Are you letting the fuel pump fully prime before pressing the starter?
  14. The brackets that I'm using bolt right on, one thing is I do not have any passenger pegs on the mounts. I will look for the part number but I think it's obsolete.
  15. I am using the supports off a 15 FJ-09 on my 19 900GT. I did that so my heels weren't against the stock GT brackets/ passenger foot rests, hope that info helps.
  16. Apparently more than Harley Davidson was willing to pay to have the Pan America win.
  17. So many sweet bikes and so little money and room!
  18. I would think your best bet would be to get a seat specially made for you, using your stock seat pan and selling the Sargent down the road.
  19. @3sum I have a GIVI E251 Monokey plate. So far it has held up very well.
  20. I had a set of guards that I used on my 900 GT that were not huge. That did a good enough job that I could ride in the low30's with my spring-summer gloves and grip heaters. They played real nice the stock hand guards to. I will have to look for them and send them down the road, not much calling for them in Florida.
  21. Is there a chance you might have damaged a wheel speed sensor and that is causing your problem?
  22. I would thought, the T7 could do better than 55-75 mph for long distance slab running. I can do that all day long with my KLR650, just have to remember to have a quart of 20w-50 in the tail bag🙂
  23. Good review Wintersdark! Remember Yamaha does not know how to make a comfortable seat be it stock or accessory. One really nice thing is you will have a huge selection of aftermarket accessories for your T7 enjoy.
  24. Very nicely done j-bone👍 I thought about doing something very similar for my phone not long ago. Even went as far as looking up what the cost of the parts would be if I screwed up. I better get off my ass and do it.
