nhchris
Did 170 miles in great and warm wx in search of crumb cake and coffee. Which I was able to locate about half way through. 5 1968 Triumph Bonneville 650 1971 Norton Commando Roadster 2002 Harley 1200 Sportster 2003 Honda ST 1300 2016 FJ

pilgo
Finally got round to fitting the side cases today that i bought last November off a guy on this site , so nipped out for a quick test run afterwards. The roads / scenery round here in North Nevada is a tad boring , so I'm having to stop at derelict old buildings to get my photo ops. Hoping to get out a bit more soon and get some proper riding days exploring further afield 😎
OldBikers
Bought Fleabay inner bags for the T9GT. Chinese made but available. The surprise is that they seem to be of good quality and fit the side cases perfectly. Next purchase is a CorTech 12L mag tank bag. My CorTech 18L sloping bag doesn't quite feel right on the T9GT

I have crossed Nevada a few times getting to Southern Utah and don't remember ever riding longer in a straight line without seeing another vehicle, wildlife or civilization. 2 ***2015 Candy Red FJ-09***

I'm going into Reno next Friday to have the recall work done on the bike that the previous owner missed ( just the lower bar risers ) , I've heard of a great road from Reno down into Virginia City so I'll try to find that for the return trip. Strange , I used to do despatch riding in London part time yet I'm kinda dreading riding into Reno 😶
Warchild
Today I got to enjoy installing simple yet elegant machined parts - the Graves Racing AIS Blockoff Plates: Thanks again to @2and3cylinders for setting me straight on some breather vent line confusion. Now future maintenance work in this engine bay will be a lot easier to deal with without all that messy plumbing in the way:
Premium Member 2and3cylinders Posted March 20, 2022 Premium Member Share Posted March 20, 2022 always glad to be of help If it's not too late, you should flip around your number one gnition coil so it's plug is facing rearward rather than towards the front into the weather
kilo3
Kinda sorta got ready for prime time. I put the snowblower away and took the winter wheels off the cars this weekend, guaranteed to snow now. Still want a good weekend of motoring before I change sprockets/chain/ brake pads. Bonus, garage heater is finally a thing and ordered, just in time for summer. 1 1
Supporting Member piotrek Posted March 20, 2022 Supporting Member Share Posted March 20, 2022 Went out riding before the weather turns wonky again. Ride #3 of the season... and a customary season opener portrait shot at the fire-hall. Still tweaking the suspension, but it's almost there. Need some rain now to wash the sand and salt off the roads. 2
rodb47
Added stuff to the bike recently: rear tire adjusters, an SW-Motech skid plate, new bar ends to replace the homemade ones the previous owner had, a new Givi windscreen, and a backrest for the wife. She digs the backrest and two up is much more relaxing for the both of us. I live on dirt roads in the country. disregard the dirty bike. Edited March 21, 2022 by rodb47 Forgot skid plate
nhchris
Can you please give me the details on the backrest? It looks nice and my gal would love one. DIY or commercial? 1968 Triumph Bonneville 650 1971 Norton Commando Roadster 2002 Harley 1200 Sportster 2003 Honda ST 1300 2016 FJ

Very expensive but worth it for her. She hasn't ridden with me in over 20 years. Now she loves it with the backrest. https://www.sargentcycle.com/Seats-Accessories/EM-5-Yamaha-FJ09-Rear/
