  1. Well right on, right on, right on! Now enjoy that puppy. And 48 hundred, WOW! Well worth the price of admission! 🤑
  2. Mine had these on it when I got it a little over a year ago. Hepco & Becker Oval Street Soft Bag Set Upgrade your bike with Hepco & Becker Oval Street Soft Bag Set... And these are the side mounts. They are very sturdy. Hepco & Becker C-Bow Carrier Yamaha FJ-09 Upgrade your bike with Hepco & Becker C-Bow Carrier Yamaha... I now have the hard bags from them. Hepco & Becker Orbit Side Cases C-Bow Carrier Upgrade your bike with Hepco & Becker Orbit Side Cases C-Bow... I sold my soft bags so I don't have them anymore. They were very sturdy, easy to keep clean material. Dry bags for waterproofing. Here's some pix on the bike.
  3. Lance, I've found when you kill a battery the way you did, ie. leaving the key on, it kills the battery......DEAD. If you did it cranking till the click click click I'd say it might charge back up. Leaving the key on kills it and then keeps draining it because the key is still on. Usually doesn't come back or not to full strength. And yes I found out you can't push start a fuel injected bike with a low battery. Don't ask how. Good luck and a fresh battery isn't much and cheap peace of mind is nice.
  4. These guys have good deals on batteries. Been buying from them for over a decade. Scooters, ZX11 Ninja, ZRX1100, VMax, Jet ski. Keep them on a battery tender when not riding them. They are on eBay; YTZ10S-BS High Performance - Maintenance Free - Sealed AGM Motorcycle Battery Find many great new & used options and get the best deals for... No I have no interest in this business. I've just used them for more than a decade. Quality product at a good price and free ship. At 38.00 for a new battery and be at your house in 2 - 3 days. Remember, lay it on it's side when putting it in the bike. I thought it went in standing up. + and - were backwards. I thought they sent me the wrong battery. Wrote about it on here and a member set me straight. Just didn't seem right for it to be laying on it's side but it's the way it's made. It's a sealed battery so no spills. Just remember that when changing them out. Like I said, 38 bucks and no worries mate! Also get a battery tender. Almost forgot. I get 5 years out of their batteries. Don't know if they last longer, I just put a date on them with a sharpy when I get them and change them every 5 years whether they need it or not. For the price, who cares?
  5. Same here. They work well. Move the mirrors up and out over and past your arm/elbow. Plus these look like stock mirrors. Those at Twisted look like they just raise them up, not out any.
  6. One of the members has a pipe. Not sure on the loudness or anything but the price is right!
  7. Same here. I use the eBay cheapo. Double Bubble Windshield WindScreen For Yamaha FJ-09 MT 09 Tracer 2015-16 Black The windshield can protect motorcycle enthusiasts from the... Works great!
  8. Top case is a SHAD 40 and the sides are Hebco Becker 22 liters each. I went after the front of the jacket with the Oxygen cleaner Oxie ? and a soft brush to get it pretty much off. My Tourmaster Mesh Jacket in black has gotten the rest of it off and you don't see it on the black. No skid plate and I got the bag from Revzilla.
  9. here's a few. Like the bag, lots of space, not to big on the bike. Plenty of room for the handle bars. I have it mounted as far forward as possible when setting it up. Was easy. Put the latch on the 1 on the tank. Latch it on, then put the bag where you want it. You have to push it down on the latch. It fits tight before drilling the holes. Then unlatch it from the tank and mount it. Only part I didn't like is the red comes off the rubber where you can run your power lines into the rear of the bag by your belly. My grey Rev-It suit is now red on the belly area.
  10. wordsmith, that's 37.4 Lbs. more than the 2015-16 models. 17 X 2.2 = 499.4 Lbs. - 462 = 37.4 Lbs. You thought 7.7 Lbs. was a lot. I thought the swing-arm was just a inch or so longer also, not sure on that but it's what I remember.......with this feeble brain..... Our here in the States wordsmith, the weight is only 12 Lbs. more than the 462 of old. This is the 2019 Tracer 900, (without bags) is 474 Lbs. Not sure what the weight difference is in your part of the world. but 227 KG is 499.4 Lbs. And yes the 462 Lb weight was a BIG selling point for me also. Really liked the 414 Lbs. for the FZ09 but like I've said 100 times. I wanted an FZ09 but needed a FJ09. So I got a FJ09. I needed the slight touring aspirations of the FJ. I've even taken off more weight, rear pegs and assy., hand guards. As I added Hebco Becker hard bags, rear rack and SHAD 40 ltr hard case. Just to keep the amount of weight I put on it to a minimum.
  11. I can't say do this. I haven't had any problems. I switched my 2Amp fuse for a 5 Amp fuse for both of my 12V power supplies. I run a Garmin on 1 and my iPhone on a 2.4mp quick charger on the other. AGAIN!!! I cannot recommend this but it is what I do.
  12. They should give you another temp plate and send in your paperwork. Well they should.........
  13. I use a screen that is like the Puig Racing Screen but is only 26 bucks from ebay. Keeps the wind off my chest and my helmet is in clean air, no buffeting. Tried the Powerbronze screen the last trip to Arkansas. hated it. The topp was blowing rround in the wind. Very distracting. Didn't like it. Went back to my cheapy that works great. Have ordered a second 1 just in case I'm riding behind 1 of my buds on a Gen 2 VMax and he chunks a rock at me and it breaks the screen. Already got over the stone that bruised my shoulder, ouch!
  14. It works well and easy to use. Not worried about the bike falling. Haven't used it with the FJ since it has a center stand. Had a 1996 ZX11 also with a center stand, Gen 1 VMax had a center stand.
  15. My last bike, a ZRX1100 didn't have a center stand. I got this from Pit bull Stands and found this way took allot of the asynchronous out of putting it on the stand. You pull it toward yourself while standing on the side of the motorcycle holding it up. Not attacking it from the rear. 16. I went to Eaglerider.com, mentioned above, and the Tracer 900 GT's are on the west coast. You can reserve a FJR out of Atlanta, GA. from them. You can easily do the east coast, north Ga. all thru the Smokies, Dragon, Cheroholla Skyway? spelling?, Moonshiners 28, 6-Gap, Green eyed snake, Blue Ridge Parkway to Southern VA. and back. Now that's a bucket list kind of ride. And flying in and out of Atlanta should produce good airfares. Being a Hub for Delta and all. We're there all us ole Vmax Owner Assoc guys, the middle of September, LOL! Some of the guys still ride Vmaxes, Gen 1 and Gen2 Models. Plus lots of other fun stuff.
  17. Now you've done it! Now I'm all qued up on everything James "007" Bond......Now I have to paint my bike Aston Martin Green! 🤑
  18. Not sure. Last winter I used a Mity-Vac to pull the fluid from the resivor to the caliper on the front and the same on the rear. Once the fluid runs close to clear for a couple of container fills on the Mity-Vac I stop. Took less than 1/2 a quart of Valvoline Synth DOT 4 fluid. Hope this helps.
  19. I have bought from these guys for years. I use a battery tender on all my batteries, my truck, Lawn tractor, ZUMA Scooter, Truck Camper. The batteries from Chromebattery last right around 5 years and the price is reasonable. 20. Not running Road 5's but I run 35 to 36 in the front and 38 in the rear. I'm 250 AGATT and use the same pressure when touring with side bags and a 40 liter top case. Hope this helps.
  21. I have a pair of the glove above in black. I have 2 sets of the glove below. 1 in black and 1 in red and white. Am very happy with both. Here is my last pair had at only $39. http://www.motorcyclegear.com/street/closeouts/last_chance_bargains/agv_sport/rivet_gloves.html
  22. I'm sure the FJ should make it no problem. We have some friends, John and Andy that went to the arctic circle on an R1 and a ZX14. If they can make it an FJ09 can.
  23. I have 1 like this; GPS Phone Holder RamMount Type fit for Yamaha MT 09 Tracer FJ 09 All Year Has a25mm all rubber ball similar to RamMount. Yamaha MT-09... Mine is without the design carved out in the center. Some said without the design and the 2 rolls like in my metal made less vibration. Mine is practically non-existent on vibration. Very pleased with it over the speedo. I have since routed the wires back behind with wire ties out of the field of vision. Also got the waterproof RAM case with the sun visor on it. Very much needed mid-day. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B06XDM6V6D/ref=ppx_yo_dt_b_asin_title_o07_s00?ie=UTF8&psc=1
  24. Yes, it is. After 410 miles up to Eureka Springs AR, the 1st miles on the tire also, you could still make out the GT in the center of the tire. From Rockymountain it was 164 bucks to my door, not bad. I have seen the Angel ST, in sets, on Amazon.com for 199.00. The new GTII is close to 200.00 for the rear. Hoping to get some good mileage from it, fingers crossed!
  25. Betoney, here's the Angel GT at mounting and 1,532 miles later. So far so good. Had a KTM Super Duke get in with our group in Eureka Springs that had an Angel GT also with almost 5,000 miles on it and it still looked good. Hoping for the best. Can't believe your getting over 5,000 miles out of a sportbike tire, WOW!
