Unfortunately, it’s not as semi-local as I thought:  I saw Hillsboro and immediately thought Texas.  But it’s actually in Hillsboro, Oregon...  2,000 miles away, and not 200.

Could always arrange to have it shipped.

Took a little run around my neck of the woods today.  Plenty of twists and turns to bring the smile to my face.

It's been a long time between drinks.

Close to 50F degrees and partly cloudy today... time to go for a ride!!!  Lots of twisty forest and farmland roads, still several months away from riding in the mountains but for the first week of February- I'm not complaining.

But there is a light at the end of the tunnel. Mrs72 has agreed to moving to North Carolina. We're outta here!

That's brutal. My better half loves the snow. Me, I have no need for it.

I am so done. It kind of came out of the blue. I was in a super bad mood for an extended period of time. Riding withdrawals. My boss and I were talking about how we need to find a guy in the SE to manage the territory. It dawned on me - why not me? I asked. He agreed. It's a done deal far as I'm concerned.

We won't get above like 12 all week and we're by a little lake called Michigan that stays relatively warm all winter and usually moderates temps all year round. But when I was erecting the antenna towers on Sears Tower in 83, I was up there when it was -23 during the day, and wind chill made it feel like -70.

That's the only good thing here about global warming.   And it still rains a lot and we cook with the humidity.
