I know @pattonmeused 11mm spacers. Brembo sales spacer kits. 10mm or 12mm work with R1 rotors?

Extreme Creations has 10mm spacers that are otherwise correct in other dimensions I believe. A note on there says that 10mm would be applicable to 320mm rotors. There is a member on here somewhere who was cutting his own 11mm spacers. I would maybe do some searching first before deciding. 10/12mm spacers will just move the pads to extreme edge of the rotor's wear band.

Thanks... I will search around.

Just going EBC on stock rotors for now... may pursue the 320mm rotors at a future date. 90% of my riding is commuting so I'm not sure I will see the benefit of the larger rotors...

Cruise control Throttle lock .

I was going to fit the Kaoka unit ,but their  very expensive, so Ive retro fitted a Break Away throttle lock I had .

Works fine with the Mirror extension arms ,on RH one I drilled through to fix/hold the horizontal holding arm .

Painted the bike with some plasti dip equivalent paint. Absolutely rubbish finish but the colour looks mean as. Think I may have to give it a paint job for its birthday. Painted the belly pan to match the wheels and it is a pretty good colour match. Stoked!

Today, I said good-bye to my FJ. The new owner seems like a very pleasant guy. I'm sure they'll be a great pair. I already bought the replacement in November, a 2011 blue / white Daytona 675. Buy in Nov, sell in April as the adage goes.

I hate to see you leaving the FJ family, but it sounds like you’ve found a great replacement with the Triumph.   Enjoy!

Made a modification to the tool sold by @Clegg78.  No offense, but I found it hard to actually turn the preload the way it is.  And I think I have strong hands and fingers.  I can get a little more leverage now to make adjustments.

So I have Ohlins NIX30/FKS forks installed now on my bike so I made a new adjuster (the clear resin one that has a 3mm hex in the middle now) and took time to update the round adjuster.  I made the adjuster in general about 5mm bigger diameter,  and put some deep scallops in the side.  I didn't have issues with the round setup on the Yamaha forks, but I did on the Ohlins, going to this scalloped design makes it easy to turn the preload.

I do have the updated Tracer 900GT fork tool listed here for sale, and will be listing the Ohlins NIX30 specific one in a couple days after testing more.  I may also list the Tracer one for sale in clear resin, but I am concerned about the flat blade part not lasting in a resin print.
(Update, I've consolidated all these products into one line now.  All printed in high strength Resin. )

Did some fun things today on the bike after getting the Ohlins YA537 rear shock on and NIX 30/FKS front fork cartridge's installed, I installed a set of Flowing LED turn signals that also have a running light and brake light built in.   Was a real easy install in the front, and in the rear I made my own wiring harness for the signals to use the stock connectors + a tap off the brake light line.   I'll post what signals and such in the actual signal mega thread :)

SW-Motech finally sent the SHAD40-specific adapter kit for their Adventure Rack - special order from Germany - and I will  admit it's a nice bit of kit. Bike is now almost set for 2-up touring - only have the Ohlins insanity to finish up, then we are on the road.

I have watched a few hours with of YouTube videos about wrapping. It seems people are split on wrapping with things on the bike vs off. For these small pieces, I don't know how I could do it off the bike. They need to be anchored to get the proper stretch in places.

It's far from perfect, but I am happy for my first attempt. I'll do the tank next. I'm using 3M 2080 Gloss White Gold Sparkle. It's a pretty close match to the front panels.

Took the upgraded bike out for a ride to the mountains, tuning the suspension a bit on the way.  Hit some hilly gravel roads, wash boarded dirt roads, and some high speed twisties. I am kind of amazed how confident the bike feels now on all these conditions !   Also seeing how bright the new led signals and running lights are.   I am happy with them!

i designed a new tool to make adjusting the suspension on the Ohlins forks (may work with k-tech and others as well) on the fly.  I was able to just pause on the ride and dial the compression valving in never leaving the seat.

That was the revelation with my suspension upgrades:  I honestly didn’t realize there was so much room for improvement in the basic platform of the FJ/Tracer.   It’s morphed into a better real-world sport bike than I would have ever anticipated.

Agreed 100%  I was out for a few hours yesterday afternoon riding some twisty rural farmland roads through the valley and marvelling at how well the bike flowed through the sweeping corners.  It was one of those roads that follows the bank of a river, snaking back and forth left and right and the best way to describe it was I felt like a canoe on a still pond, just floating, almost weightless feeling.  Sounds weird but that's the first thing that came to mind.
