You’ve got the suspension to really use/need good tires, so I’m glad you replaced the OEM D222 rim protectors. Tires are fantastic. Only got 100 miles on them and nothing crazy as they break in, but what a difference I didn't know I was missing. Fall is here in NY and the days of hot sticky tires are gone. I'll review them if anyone is interested. Very happy with mine. I am just hitting wear bars on my first Shinko 705 rear tire with almost 8,000 miles on it. Front still in great shape and will easily go through another rear before I will have to replace it.

rodb47
This is from yesterday. Testing it out. Need to upgrade my computer to handle the video. This was made with the GoPro app on my phone. Pardon the crappy music.

I only said short because I usually buy dual compound sport touring tires. The rear S21 lasted me 5000 miles, which I guess is good. I’m usually very good at making tires last longer than most for whatever reason. I just bought a set of PR5’s since Michelin has a rebate going on right now. I was goi g to buy another S21 (or the new S22) rear because the front is still in pretty good shape. As far as my feelings on the S21, I loved them. They came recommended by a friend who is an aggressive rider like me and said he had a set on his FJ. They stick very well and heat up quickly for a street riding. I’ll find a picture I took of the front and rear after just three passes on Blood Mountain in N GA back in July. 2
maximo
Yeah, you definitely worked the shoulders! I really like the profile of the front S21. I got mine on saturday and took them out to scrub them in, so I was super gentle with them, but by 50 miles out I was feeling really good about them. I found them confidence inspiring in their response and predictability. 1 1 ’70 Yamaha 125 Enduro; ’75 Honda CB360T; ’81 Yamaha XS650SH; ’82 Honda GL650 Silver Wing Interstate; ’82 Suzuki GS650L; ’87 Yamaha Virago 535; ’87 Yamaha FJ1200; ’96 Honda ST1100; ’99 Yamaha V-Star Classic; ’00 Suzuki SV650; ’07 BMW K1200GT; ’12 Suzuki DR200; ’15 Yamaha FJ-09. Premium Member 3sum Posted October 14, 2019 Premium Member Share Posted October 14, 2019 I hadn’t run a pair of Bridgestones in years before these but I was impressed. I’m no Ricky Racer but I do ok. These stick. 1

Dark&Stormy
I finally received and installed the 2nd gen Higdonion skid plate. (Ordered Aug 2 shipped Oct 3) Since I added the Leovince full system the old skid plate would no longer fit. Kris wasnt sure if the 2nd gen would fit this system so this is a test fit and..... it fits.👍 1
